Donations
We sincerely appreciate the generosity of all of our donors who keep our services available for those who lean on us. Because we understand the needs of our population, most of our services are free or offered at the lowest available fee. We believe that we make a significant difference in these families’ lives – with your support – imagine what we can do.

$1,500 sponsors a person to get Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide training – with your support, they can get a job with starting pay at $10 - $17 an hour.

A gift of $1,000 helps us place about 15 people in jobs that range from construction, office work, manufacturing, and a variety of other positions. The average starting wage of our placements is over $12.00 an hour (not averaging in part time placement).

$600 supports 300 meals in our free lunch program. We get most of our food from Second Harvest, but we need help to provide a balanced meal with protein and fresh produce. For most of our participants, this is their only meal of the day. A lunch fills someone’s stomach, but a nutritious meal can influence someone’s health – especially for those who have diabetes or are pregnant.

$250 helps us purchase science and math books for the young people in our Career Immersion High School or those studying for their GED. As the academic success for the urban poor continues to fall, the likelihood to gain good jobs or college evaporates. Your investment in an enriched math and science program will give our students a career choice rather than to simply gravitate toward the lower end of the job market.

$135 offers 100 bus rides for newly placed workers or job seekers. Transportation is a key component to getting and keeping a job, especially in the first month when little earned income is coming in. Your support can help those without the resources get and keep their new job.

$80 helps the women in our In-an-da’-we program have access to an assortment of services that include legal aid, financial management, healthy relationship counseling, and crisis triage – or – access to something uplifting such as American Indian cultural activities, trips to the art museum or the pumpkin patch, and personal care needs. A gift of $25 allows us to provide those most in need with diapers, formula, winter clothing, and school supplies.
