Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)
MFIP is a comprehensive State, County, and City welfare reform effort. The purpose of this program is to help families become self-sufficient through intensive counseling, training, and job search activities. To help begin employment, we can provide uniforms, work clothes, and equipment.  We realize that families need a range of support services to successfully maintain employment so we work to connect families with childcare, transportation, and housing.

Eligibility
To be eligible for our program, a person must be referred by the Hennepin County Government Center’s MFIP office. After referral, clients are eligible for career assessment and planning, training, and job placement. MFIP counselors are also available to help connect clients to community services that include child care and transportation.
