Takoda Prep

Takoda Prep is an accredited alternative high school for students ages 14–21, operating in partnership with Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS Special District #1). Our small, supportive learning environment helps students strengthen core academic skills while maintaining a strong connection to American Indian culture.

Students may stay connected to their home schools for activities like prom, athletics, and graduation. Seniors complete a for-credit senior project to plan for life after high school, and our partnership with MPS Indian Education helps students explore colleges, training programs, scholarships, and career pathways. We also offer college visits and host speakers from post-secondary programs, professional fields, and the military.
